Indian automaker Ola Electric is all set to make a big announcement this Diwali.
The company is going to launch a new electric scooter in India which will be a more aggressively priced variant of the S1
Confirm that the new scooter will be priced under Rs. 80,000 making it one of the most affordable premium e-scooters in the country.
Earlier this year on August 15, Ola Electric introduced the S1 electric scooter in the Indian market at a price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom).
Ola S1 deliveries have started nationwide from 7th September. The S-scooter was launched with a 3kWh battery pack with a range of 141 km on a single charge.
The company is also working on an all-electric car that will debut in 2024 with a driving range of over 500 km per charge
Also, it accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 4 seconds due to its low drag coefficient of 0.21. Interestingly, the Ola electric car will be keyless as well as handleless.
Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal hinted in a cryptic post on Twitter today that Ola is planning something big for its customers in the Indian market later this month without disclosing the details of the new product.
Agarwal further added that the new launch will accelerate the #EndICEAge revolution by at least 2 years.
